Watercolour Workshop with Daniel López

Spend a full weekend exploring watercolour with artist Daniel López at his studio in Birmingham.

This two-day workshop is designed for anyone who wants to develop their understanding of watercolour and discover a more confident, expressive way of working with the medium. Through demonstrations, guided exercises and plenty of time to paint, we’ll explore how to use water, pigment, light and movement to create atmosphere and bring a scene to life.

Daniel will share his approach to painting, from understanding the fundamental principles of watercolour to making decisions about value, colour, composition and edges. You’ll have the opportunity to see the process demonstrated step by step, put the ideas into practice yourself, and receive individual guidance and feedback throughout the weekend.

The workshop is deliberately kept small, with just 10 places per day, creating a relaxed and supportive environment where there is plenty of time for questions, discussion and one-to-one feedback.
